BioGreetings to you, and welcome to my little corner of LJ. ^x^ I'm known as Kemi here, though elsewhere online I'm more likely to be seen as HuntressLight. I'm a fairly sociable recluse, a creature of contrasts, odd balances, and quirky harmonies through and through. I'm friendly and long-winded, but can also be somewhat blunt and grumpy on rare occassions.
To get the mundane out of the way, I'm female, nearly 27, and will be married to my soul mate this May. I work as an administrative assistant full time in a small office, and have a tiny apartment with my fiance. I like to read, write, watch tv, and play the occassional video game, and am getting back into literate roleplay after a half-hiatus due to writer's block. I'm also a singer and musician, though not so much anymore, just the random bit of singing here and there. Maybe I'll get some inspiration after I restring my neglected guitar ^x^; I do some visual art,, mostly digital painting and photomanipulation, though I'm still working on improving my technique (or lack thereof!), and I'd like to do some photography once I get a better camera.
My spiritual life is where things get more interesting, for my soul and abilities have me walking a little further from the usual path for someone with my cultural background. My personal beliefs and experiences don't fit into any neat cubbyholes of This Is My Religion, and I'm trying to get away from my personal flaw of labeling myself too much anyway XD I consider myself Christain due to my beliefs in God the Father and Jesus the Son, and I strengthen my connection to the Divine and the way Spirit works through the world by following a shamanic path that compliments my faith and enriches my soul. I'm at the stage of studying on my own at this point, taking things in, letting them sit, and seeing how they fit with my natural abilities while I find the path most suited to me, ever moving forward, learning, and growing. I'm also a therianthrope, meaning I identify internally as a non-human animal. My internal identity as feline and canine (lupine) is connected to my soul, possibly deriving from multiple lives... not all of which, I have come to see, have been human. About 50/50 from what I've come to be aware of so far. I'm a fairly even blend of Caracal (little big wildcat), Egyptian Mau (domestic feline), and Dire Wolf, all wrapped up in a spiritually sensitive human body.
If anything in the above paragraph makes me sound like a nutcase, I understand ^x^ I've thoroughly considered that possiblity, and you're welcome to your opinion. I'm an open-minded individual, and if you are as well and would like to learn more about me, hang around a bit. Most of this journal has to do with my therianthropy and spirituality, as well as my experiences with what's generally considered "supernatural." So I'm rather cautious about adding people to my Friendslist, and there are a few filtering levels in place here, since so much of it's rather private and central to my personal beliefs. I take the time to get to know people before adding them, and if you're interested in taking a peek inside my kitty-wolf brain, let me know. And be forewarned that I am chaotic ;)
